The Trash In Fashion Show
One person’s trash is another’s fashion.

Friday, April 13th, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 p.m

The show will be held at the Arts & Cultural Center at the corner of Walnut and Paul streets in downtown Pauls Valley. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Money will go toward improving the functionality of the Arts & Cultural Center for future events.

Details to enter:

-Designers must use recycled, repurposed or reused items of any nature to assemble fashionable attire.

-At least 80% of each outfit must consist of repurposed items of some nature.

-Designers may choose to model their own outfits or appoint someone else to do so. Designers will have the option to sell their work, with a 10% commission designated to the Arts & Cultural Center.

-There are four categories: Formal (ie. Wedding dresses or suits), Frugal (the thriftier, the better), Frightening (think Lady Gaga or zombie), and Open (anything goes).

-Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Judging will be based on creativity and overall use of materials.

-Entry fee is $15 for the first outfit and $5 for each additional, with a limit of three (per person or team).

-Rehearsals will be held on April 9th and April 12th at 6pm. Entry fees, music of choice and documentation of materials used are due at this time. The listing of materials will be used by the emcee to describe the outfit while the model is on the runway.
-All talent levels are welcome!
